Hotels Unlimited acquires Freehold Gardens hotel FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP - Hotels Unlimited Inc., through an affiliated company, Freehold Lodging Realty, LLC, based out of East Windsor, has purchased the Freehold Gardens Hotel and Conference Center, Gibson Place, off Route 537. Doran Tajfel, vice president of Hotels Unlimited, announced that the 114-room hotel will be converted to a Radisson following a major renovation initiative estimated at $4 million. "The hotel will undergo an exterior face-lift and floor-to-ceiling guestroom refurbishing. We have planned extensive renovations and improvements for all of the property's interior spaces, including the meeting facilities and ballroom, and will expand the hotel's offerings as a premier wedding destination," Tajfel said. "This is an exciting opportunity for us to contribute to the growth and development of the Freehold area," Tajfel said. "We have built our reputation by offering unsurpassed service and value to corporate and leisure travelers, and we look forward to extending our hospitality services to Freehold." According to a press release, Hotels Unlimited currently has several hotel properties under development. Vice President Carey Tajfel said, "We are starting site work and will soon be constructing a Hilton Garden Inn in Lakewood. In Freehold, we have been approved to build a Hampton Inn on Route 9 and will be starting construction in 2008. We are also developing a Staybridge Suites in Washington Township at Exit 7A of the New Jersey Turnpike." Hotels Unlimited Inc., established in 1990, now includes nine hotels affiliated with Holiday Inn, Radisson, Ramada and Days Inn, as well as shopping centers, office buildings and self-storage facilities.
