Buckley Road development to see 19 homes constructed MARLBORO - Acting under a court order, the Planning Board has approved a 19-home development to be known as Buckley Manor (formerly Sunny Acres). The application, which did not require any variances, was approved by the board on May 16. The project consists of 19 homes to be built on a minimum of 80,000 square feet (2 acres), according to attorney Wayne Peck, who represents the applicant. "This is a mundane, very routine subdivision," Peck said, adding that two existing homes on the property will remain. Buckley Manor will be built on Buckley Road, which is between Route 79 and Route 18. The development will not have direct access to Route 79. The original application included items that Marlboro officials said required variances, according to Peck, and the plan for the development was denied by the Planning Board in Jan-uary. The applicant pursued the matter and the court order, issued by the state Superior Court on May 9, said the variances were dropped in order to have a conforming application. Approvals are still pending from the Freehold Soil Conservation District. An existing home on the lot, which is occupied by a relative of one of the developers, will have an addition built onto it to comply with a township ordinance. The developer is Sunny Acres, based in Marlboro with offices in Holmdel. Steven Meiterman, Gloria Meiter-man, Eddie Kay, Terry Sherman and Anthony Spalliero were the original principals of Sunny Acres. Ownership was revised in January 2006 to replace Spalliero's name with the name of Domenica Russo, who is Spalliero's ex-wife. Ownership was reorganized again in December 2006 changing the principals of Sunny Acres to Meadowood Prop-erties, LLC, of Holmdel, and Grassy Knolls, LLC, of Englishtown. The principals of Grassy Knolls are Leah Meiterman, of Marlboro, Gloria Meiter-man, of Manalapan, and Barrie Kay, of Marlboro. The two companies that each have a 50 percent stake in Meadowood Prop-erties are Stilwell Holdings, of Holmdel, and Dolphin Holdings, of Hazlet. The principals of Stilwell Holdings are Terry Sherman, Jason Sherman and Timothy Sherman. The principals of Dolphin Holdings are Russo and Josephine DiNuzzio. Spalliero, Eddie Kay, Steven Meiter-man and his brother, Bernard Meiter-man, and are all under federal indictment for their alleged involvement in criminal activities relating to projects in Marlboro.
