Resident questions whether 94-year-old should drive

I was appalled to read that the elderly man who drove northbound in the southbound lane of Route 9, seriously injured the driver of the car he hit and tied up traffic for hours, may drive again.

I find it hard to believe that his vision, reflexes and judgment at age 94 are what they should be in order to safely operate a motor vehicle. Don't the members of his family have any concern for his welfare and that of others?

The money that he would save on insurance premiums alone (which I'm sure would be astronomical) could pay for a lifetime of cab rides. I also find it reprehensible that the state of New Jersey and the Motor Vehicle Commission are even considering allowing this man to resume driving.
