Women's center benefit set

Area residents will have an opportunity to combine shopping and philanthropy when The Shoppes at Old Bridge opens on May 4.

The preview grand opening event will benefit The Center for Women at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Visitors are invited to shop, wine and dine before the mall's official opening to the public on May 5.

The new shopping center, on Route 9 north at Texas Road, Old Bridge, includes stores such as Banana Republic, Ann Taylor Loft, Coldwater Creek, Chico's, WhiteHouse/Black Market and Jos. A. Bank.

On May 5, Raritan Bay Medical Center staff will sponsor a health fair with free health screenings and information.

Music, refreshments and entertainment for children will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Shoppes parking lot. Nearby parking and shuttle service will be available.

The Center for Women at Raritan Bay Medical Center is a dedicated women's diagnostic testing and resource center in which specialists work with physicians to provide timely testing procedures, patient education and counseling. Ser-vices include mammography, bone densitometry, stereotactic core needle biopsy and UltraSound-guided biopsy.
