Juvenile, 5 adults arrested On April 12, a 17-year-old Freehold Borough male was taken into custody and placed in the Monmouth County Youth Detention Center, Free-hold Township, on charges resulting from two separate investigations. One of those investigations also resulted in the arrest of five adults, according to a press release from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. The first investigation was conducted by the Freehold Township Police Depart-ment after a student at Freehold High School, Freehold Borough, was overheard by a teacher on March 29 talking about someone pointing a gun at him. The investigation revealed that the student had a verbal dispute with the juvenile the day before in the area of a local shopping center. During the dispute the juvenile allegedly pointed what the student believed to be a handgun at the student, according to the press release. The juvenile was charged with fourth-degree aggravated assault, third-degree terroristic threats, third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. The second investigation was conducted by the New Jersey State Police. As a result of their investigation, on April 12, suspected marijuana and cocaine, as well as two starter pistols, were seized from the juvenile's Freehold Borough residence. The juvenile and five adults, Brian Millet, 18, Omar Millet, 21, William Torres, 44, Christian Sanchez, 21, all of Freehold Borough, and Alberto Cucalon, 20, of Freehold Township, were each charged with fourth-degree possession of marijuana, third-degree possession of a marijuana with the intent to distribute within a school zone, third-degree possession of cocaine, third-degree possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute within a school zone, and third-degree fortified drug premises, according to the prosecutor's office. Each of the five adults was lodged at the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $175,000 bail. The maximum potential custodial sentence the juvenile faces for the second degree charge is three years in the custody of the Juvenile Justice Commission. The maximum sentence for the third degree charges is two years, and one year for the fourth degree charges. The adults face potential custodial sentences of up to five years on the third-degree crimes, and up to 18 months on the fourth degree crimes. The juvenile is scheduled to appear before state Superior Court Judge Eugene A. Iadanza on May 7 for a plea conference. The charges against the five adults will be presented to a grand jury within the next several weeks, according to the press release.
