Author's debut novel to be discussed at library

"The Piano Tuner," author Daniel Mason's debut novel, will be discussed at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan, on Thursday, May 17, at 10 a.m.

The novel earned a spot on The New York Times Book Review Notable Books List in 2002 and was featured in Booklist as one of its Top 10 Historical Novels.

The book discussion is part of the Tales of Adventure and Discovery series moderated by Librarian Pat Whitehead. It features literary journeys to foreign lands and psychological frontiers. No passport is needed, just a love of good books and an appreciation for lively discussions.

Books are available to be borrowed from the library. The program is free of charge. For more information, call (732) 431-7220.
