Youth league hopes to make parade an annual event

The Board of Directors of the Manalapan Baseball and Softball Association thanks everyone involved who made the first opening day parade such a success. Over 70 teams participated in our parade from Milford Brook School to the American Legion Field on April 14.

This would not have been possible without the support of the Manalapan Police Department. We also thank the Englishtown Fire Department and the American Legion color guard for leading the parade, and all the coaches, managers and players who participated in this event.

We would also like to thank the Walk With Joe committee for renovations done to the American Legion field in memory of Joe Driscoll and Flight 93. We appreciate their attendance at our ceremonies at the conclusion of the parade, and all the support they have given us.

We look forward to making this parade an annual event.
