Resident offers support to Hornik in Marlboro election

Over 40 years ago I began serving as a volunteer staff associate for Sen. Robert F. Kennedy. Bobby Kennedy set the gold standard for public service, integrity, intelligence, independence, dedication and compassion.

Every now and then a candidate for public office comes along who meets this high standard. We have such a candidate in Jon Hornik, and I was proud and honored to place his name in nomination to be the next mayor of Marlboro.

Jon is a model citizen of our town. All you have to do is read his many letters to the editor to see his involvement in all the important issues facing Marlboro, property taxes, the environment, commuting, education and ethics to name a few.

Jon is a founding member and leader of the Marlboro Reform Democrats and he is an active member of the Marlboro Jewish Center.

But above all Jon is a good person. You hear a lot of talk about values in political campaigns today. Jon, together with his beautiful wife, Daryl, and their three wonderful children Ethan, Olivia and Sophia, sets an example that we would be proud to have leading our community.
