6 nabbed in Target theft MANALAPAN - Six residents of Brooklyn, N.Y., were arrested and charged in connection with a credit card fraud they allegedly perpetrated at the Target department store, Route 9. According to information provided by Manalapan police, employees from Target called police at 3:15 p.m. March 30 in regard to a credit card fraud in progress. While patrol cars were en route to the area, a description of the suspects and their vehicle was provided to the officers. In the area of Craig Road and Route 9 south, Officer Jeanie McCafferty observed several individuals exit the vehicle in question while it was sitting in traffic. The officer was able to apprehend a female who was involved in the incident. Officer Ken Mikulik eventually stopped the suspects' vehicle on East Freehold Road, Freehold Township, and officers Robert Kelly and Matthew Mattia assisted with a felony stop. During this time, one male suspect was apprehended and a television that had been purchased with a fraudulent credit card was found in the vehicle. Officer William Martin apprehended a suspect who was walking on Route 9 south. Sgt. Kevin Dobbin located and arrested two men and one woman in the area of Target. Those three individuals were believed to be involved in the incident. Police said approximately $5,300 in purchases were made using a fraudulent credit card. The following six individuals were each charged with theft, credit card fraud, conspiracy and receiving stolen property. They were each given a bail amount and transported to the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township: + Timothy Howell, 24, Union Street, Brooklyn, $22,500 bail, no 10 percent option. + Shantal Daniels, 20, Woodruff Avenue, Brooklyn, $7,500 bail, no 10 percent option. + Damien Francis, 24, Linden Boulevard, Brooklyn, $7,500 bail, no 10 percent option. + Alfonso Ruffin, 50, Sutter Avenue, Brooklyn, $30,000 bail, no 10 percent option. + Anthony Williamson, 22, Brooklyn, $7,500 bail, no 10 percent option. + Kerrian Howell, 21, Union Street, Brooklyn, $5,000 bail, no 10 percent option.
