Jim Schlentz, Colts Neck's track and field coach, enjoyed a weekend that few coaches could match back in March when star runners Craig Forys and Ashley Higginson won national championships in the two-mile run. In addition to that, the Cougar girls won the 4x1-mile relay for the second straight year and the boys distance medley relay team earned All-American recognition after a fourth place.

That weekend became more memorable for the Cougar coach when he was selected the Eastbay National Coach of the Week.

Freehold Township's Adam Miller, who plays midfield for Swathmore College's men's lacrosse team, scored a goal and won six of seven faceoffs in Swathmore's 8-6 victory over Franklin & Marshall. Miller, a junior, leads the team in faceoff percentage by a wide margin with his .684 percentage.

Swathmore is off to a 4-3 start, and Miller has started all seven games.

Miller is a graduate of Freehold Township High School.
