Joanne M. Paladino O'Neill

Mrs. Paladino, 68, of Holmdel, die March 4, 2007, at Port St. Lucie (Fla.) Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Bayridge, Brooklyn, prior to relocating to Holmdel nine years ago. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Robert J. O'Neill Sr.; two daughters, Alyce Sutherland of Hazlet, and Stephanie O'Neill of Holmdel; three sons, Robert J. O'Neill Jr. of Staten Island, N.Y.; Kevin O'Neill of Sydney, Australia; and Thomas O'Neill of Holmdel; two brothers, Philip Paladino of Massapequa Park, N.Y., and Joseph Paladino of Manalapan; a sister, Barbara Hoopmann of Warren; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. Entombment was at Holmdel Mausoleum. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Memorial donations may be made to St. Barnabas Medical Center Foundation, 95 Short Hills Road, West Orange 07052.

Joan Conk

Joan Conk, 69, of Freehold Township, died March 5, 2007, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Lakewood, she lived in Jackson before moving to Freehold Township in 1958. Mrs. Conk was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Howard Conk of Freehold Township; four sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Eileen Conk of Jackson; Edwin and Kim Conk of Toms River; John and Frances Conk of Farmingdale; and Anthony and Denise Conk of Toms River; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Russ Clark of Jackson; a sister, Alberta Tonkin of Parkertown; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at Harmony Cemetery, Jackson.

Frances Berry

Ms. Berry, 66, of Jackson, died March 7, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in New York City, she had resided in Queens, N.Y., and Orlando, Fla., for 22 years before moving to Jackson one year ago. She is survived by four sons, Louis Rios and Steven Rios, both of Jackson, Cedric Rios of Old Bridge and Albert Betancourt of New York City; and two daughters, Yvonne Kercado of Freehold and Karen Hernandez of Jackson. She was also a grandmother and great-grandmother. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Interment was private. Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Deborah Galli

Ms. Galli, 37, of Jackson, died March 9, 2007, at home. Born in Pequannock, she had lived in Hewitt, Marlboro and Freehold before settling in Jackson in 2002. She worked at Sunny Days childhood learning center, Manalapan. Ms. Galli was predeceased by her mother, Carol Lynch. She is survived by a son and two daughters, Daniel, Alexandra and Carol Ann Galli, all of Freehold; her father and stepmother, John and Gail Lynch of Marlboro; two brothers, Todd Lynch of Hamilton and John Lynch of Atlanta; three sisters, Dawn Lynch of Englishtown, Michelle Lynch of Jackson and Syril Lynch of Hamilton; two nephews, Michael and Jesse; and close friends Jack and Mary Flannery (and family) of Warren, and Gail and Alicia Bronski of Scotch Plains. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. The Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.

Edward Schickling

Mr. Schickling, 69, of South River, died March 9, 2007, in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was employed as a gasket maker with Alltite, South River. Surviving are his wife, Catherine "Penny" Schickling; a son, David Schickling of Marlboro; a daughter, Lorraine Atkinson, and her husband, Robert, of South River; a brother, William Schickling of South River; and two granddaughters.

Geraldine Angelina Petrignani

Mrs. Petrignani, 88, of Manalapan, died March 15, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born and raised in Hoboken, she had lived down the street from Frank Sinatra's childhood home and often listened to "young Frankie" sing and play the piano. She later became Frank's mother's (Dolly Sinatra) hairdresser. Mrs. Petrignani, whose parents were Ralph and Rose Riccio, had resided in East Moriches, N.Y., and Louisville, Ky., as well as in Old Bridge, before moving to Manalapan. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown, and had sung in the choir at St. Ann's Church in Hoboken. During the Depression, she volunteered at a soup kitchen with the nuns at St. Ann's. She was an avid gardener who also enjoyed cooking and was known for her homemade bread and pasta. She designed clothing, afghans and other hand-crocheted items. Mrs. Petrignani was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Philip Anthony Petrignani, in 2000; five sisters, Margaret Gregory, Mildred Churachella, Paula Pasquale, Lucy Olivetti and Loraine Raia; and a brother, Michael Riccio. Surviving are a son, Philip Petrignani of Hackettstown; a daughter, Cheryl Bracht of Manalapan, with whom she had lived; a sister, Eleanor Taylor of Hoboken; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manal-apan, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
