Army Reserve Sgt. Michael S. Bonfiglio recently returned to the United States after being deployed to an overseas forward-operating location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the official name given to military operations involving members of the U.S. armed forces and coalition forces participating in efforts to free and secure Iraq. The sergeant is a mechanic for heavy wheeled vehicles, assigned to the 943rd Replacement Company, Flushing, N.Y. He is the son of Len and Cathy Bonfiglio of Marlboro. Bonfiglio is a 2002 graduate of Marlboro High School.

Peter M. Ruegger has been promoted to the rank of technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. The sergeant is an aircraft electrical and environmental systems journeyman assigned to the 437th Airlift Wing, Charleston Air Force Base, S.C. He is the son of Patricia and Charles Ruegger of Freehold Township. Ruegger is a 1992 graduate of Freehold Township High School.
