Former Freehold Borough High School high jump champions Debra Vento and Justin Frick came up with their best jumps of the college indoor season at their respective championship meets.

At the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, Vento, a senior at Duke University, cleared 5-11 1/2, finishing in second place.

She matched the height of the winner, Viktoria Andonova from Miami, but finished second on fewer misses. Vento did 5-11 1/2 on her third attempt while Andonova was over on her first attempt.

Frick, who is a freshman at Princeton University, did 6-10 1/2 at the Heptagonal Games Association Championships. His third place helped the Tiger men win the team title with 154 points to Cornell's 151.

Both Vento and Frick were NJSIAA Meet of Champion winners at Freehold Borough.
