Marlboro's Tom Zubulake received the Lehigh University Scholar Athlete Award at the university's fall sports banquet. The senior, majoring in accounting, posted a 3.35 grade point average in the fall and has an overall GPA of 3.47 and is multi-year Academic Honor Roll honoree. The Scholar-Athlete Award goes to the student-athletes who in the eyes of his/her teammates best exemplifies the ideal of the student-athlete.

On the soccer pitch, Zubulake, known for his long, flip throw-ins, helped the Mountain Hawks win the Patriot League championship and play in the NCAA Tournament.

Zubulake is a graduate of Marlboro High School.
