Peter Kopack

Mr. Kopack, 83, of Colts Neck, died Feb. 18, 2007, at Bartley Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation, Jackson. He was born and raised in Scranton, Pa., and had lived in Farmingdale before moving to Colts Neck in 1971. As a teenager, he worked in the Pennsylvania coal mines. Prior to retiring in the mid-1970s, Mr. Kopack taught electrical engineering courses and also worked with ordnance at Naval Ammunition Depot Earle (now Naval Weapons Station Earle), Colts Neck, for 33 years. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife, Olga Kopack; a son and daughter-in-law, Peter J. Jr. and Patricia Kopack of Farmingdale; three grandsons, Brian Kopack of Bradley Beach, and Kevin (Elizabeth) Kopack and Peter (Laura) Kopack III, both of Point Pleasant; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
