Harold Melvin Jr. Harold J. Melvin Jr., 74, of Howell, died Feb. 15, 2007, at home. Born in the Green-point section of Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Roosevelt before moving to Howell in 1961. He was a cabinet maker, and along with his father, he had owned M&M Woodcraft, Roosevelt, until his retirement in 2001. Surviving are his wife, Gail M. Melvin of Howell; two daughters, Cynthia Flora of Freehold and Susan McKelvey of Howell; a brother, George Melvin of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; two sisters, Mary Burch of Trenton and Eileen Hicks of Florida; and two grandchildren. Services were held at the Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment in East Windsor Cemetery, East Windsor.
