John Vitomski

Mr. Vitomski, 87, of Manalapan, died Feb. 14, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Jersey City, he was a lifelong resident of Manalapan. He was employed by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for 30 years and also was a farmer in Manalapan. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in the European and Pacific theaters of operation. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. Surviving are two sons, Michael and Thomas Vitomski; a daughter, Barbara Van Note; a sister, Jennie Mount; two grandchildren; and close friend Layne Sultana. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.
