John Vitomski Mr. Vitomski, 87, of Manalapan, died Feb. 14, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Jersey City, he was a lifelong resident of Manalapan. He was employed by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for 30 years and also was a farmer in Manalapan. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in the European and Pacific theaters of operation. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. Surviving are two sons, Michael and Thomas Vitomski; a daughter, Barbara Van Note; a sister, Jennie Mount; two grandchildren; and close friend Layne Sultana. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Memorial donations may be made to an animal shelter or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 216 Had-don Ave., Suite 328, Westmont 08108.
