Marion Sokol Mrs. Sokol, of Colts Neck, died Feb. 4, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born Marion Elizabeth Sandy on July 8, 1920, to Thomas S. and Florence Dubois Sandy in Freehold, she was a lifelong resident of Monmouth County. She graduated from Freehold High School, Freehold Borough, in 1938 and was married on Jan. 24, 1943, at the Dutch Reformed Church of Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry Sokol, and two brothers, Thomas S. Sandy Jr. and William A. Sandy. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Fred Wessel of Cedarburg, Wis.; a son and daughter-in-law, J. Peter and Jeanne Lehman Sokol of Colts Neck; two sisters-in-law, Olivia A. Sandy and Elsie Sokol, both formerly of Freehold; five grandchildren; and a nephew and his wife. A memorial service was held at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, with Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, in charge of arrangements.
