J. Clinton Ebbesen

J. Clinton (Bo) Ebbesen, 81, of Freehold, died Feb. 9, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was a 59-year member of the Freehold Fire Department and served as chief of the department from 1974-76. He was a life member of the Freehold Fin, Fur and Feather Sportsman Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of American Legion Post No. 54 of Freehold. Mr. Ebbesen was predeceased by a brother, Gardner. He is survived by his companion of 25 years, Mary Dore; two sisters, Eleanor Widdis of Oceanport and Dorothy Jamison of Freehold; a brother, John Ebbesen of Freehold; his extended family of his companion's children, Helenea Tompkins, Charles and Jamie Megill, Scott and Mindy Megill, and Daniel and Denise Megill, all of Freehold; Patricia and Tim Borsetti of Lakehurst; many nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren; and his best friend, James F. Quinn. Funeral services were held at Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
