John Battagliola

John L. Battagliola, 84, of Manalapan, died Feb. 12, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in New York City. Prior to retiring, Mr. Battagliola was an office manager for Linden Meyer, Long Island City, N.Y. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. He was predeceased by a daughter, Christine M. Battagliola, in 1996. Surviving are his wife, Lillian Volpe Battagliola; a son and daughter-in-law, John S. and Anne Battagliola of Manalapan; and two grandchildren. The viewing was held at the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at our Lady of Mercy Church, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown.
