Congested intersection in Freehold Twp. needs DOT solution today

Regarding Walgreens application for a pharmacy at the corner of Route 9 north and East Freehold Road - I have lived within walking distance of this area since 1976 and once East Freehold Road went all the way through, this intersection became a nightmare.

Everyone has a plan or has been studying the problem since that time, but nothing is done. I find it very interesting that the state Department of Transpor-tation now has plans to fix the problem at the same time Walgreens is applying to build at that intersection.

If the application is denied and a pharmacy isn't built, is the DOT going to forget their plans? When is something concrete going to be done at this corner? Is it going to take another 30 years?
