Eileen M. Madden

Eileen M. Madden, 74, of Sarasota, Fla., died Jan. 31, 2007, at home. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she had resided in Columbus, Ohio, and in Freehold and Florida. Mrs. Madden was predeceased by her husband, Michael, in 1998, and her sister, Joan Boyce. She is survived by six children, Maryanne Sandberg, John McNally, Laurie McNally, Joan LaStrange, Ginger McNally and Eileen Shannon; her husband's four children, Debbi, Sherri, Mike and Dean; a brother, Donald P. Dwyer; two sisters, Virginia Solano and Danielle Sheahan; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, followed by interment at St. John's Cemetery, Allentown. Edward F. Loewy

Mr. Loewy, 88, of Pennsylvania, died Feb. 2, 2007, at the Richboro Care Center, Richboro, Pa. Born in New York City, he had lived in Naples, Fla., before returning to the area in 2002 to be near family. Mr. Loewy was retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Madeline Loewy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Steve Herman of Manalapan, and Carol and Les Schaumberg of Langhorne, Pa.; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Margaret Loewy of Levittown, Pa.; six siblings; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the James O. Bradley Funeral Home in Penndel, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial took place at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, also Penndel, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown. Doris A. Bailey

Mrs. Bailey, 66, of Farmingdale, died Feb. 7, 2007, at home. She was born in Princeton and had resided in Freehold for most of her life. Prior to retiring, she was a packer for the Brockway Glass Co., Freehold Township. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Raymond Bailey Jr., in 1993. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael R. and Michele Bailey of Jackson, David D. Bailey, at home, and Steven C. and Gina Bailey of Shark River Hills; and two grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Farming-dale, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Fannie Viviani

Mrs. Viviani, 90, of Marlboro, died Feb. 3, 2007, at home. Born in New York, she had lived in the Bronx, N.Y., and in New Milford for 20 years before moving to Marlboro two years ago. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards. Mrs. Viviani was predeceased by a son, John. Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Louis; two sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Barbara Viviani of Marlboro, and Robert and Carol Viviani of Nanuet, N.Y.; a daughter-in-law, Camille, of New Milford; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel's Church, followed by entombment at George Washing-ton Memorial Park, Paramus. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manal-apan, was in charge of arrangements.

Ezio Joseph Fragale

Mr. Fragale, 79, of Freehold Township, died Feb. 4, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in San Marco, Cosenza, Italy, he emigrated to the United States when he was 5 years old. He had resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Manalapan for many years before moving to Freehold Township a year and a half ago. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a postal worker at the Jersey City Bulk Mail Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was also an avid New York Mets fan. Mr. Fragale was predeceased in 1993 by his wife of 41 years, Sylvia Fragale; in 2002 by a brother, Vincent Fragale; and in 2005 by his companion, Eva Shapiro. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Cynthia Fragale of Brick; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Robert Klein of North Brunswick, and Denise and Michael J. Ruppel of Jackson; a brother, Armondo Fragale of Winter Garden, Fla.; and five grandchildren. Interment took place at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown, with Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, in charge of arrangements.

Brenda Christian

Mrs. Christian, 43, of Tinton Falls, died Feb. 4, 2007, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Point Pleasant Borough, she had lived in Neptune before moving to Tinton Falls eight years ago. She had been in the retail business since 1978, beginning her career at Shoe-Town Inc. She also worked for Victoria's Secret, Calvin Klein and Ascot Shoes Inc. Her most recent position was as a corporate manager for Bakers Footwear Inc., whose corporate office is located in St. Louis. Mrs. Christian was predeceased by her father, Karl F. Schrieber, in 2005. She is survived by her husband, Douglas W. Christian; two sons, Zachary and Matthew Christian, both at home; her mother, Sandra M. Schrieber of Jackson; a brother, Karl D. Schrieber of Howell; and a sister, Lisa Marie Schrieber of Jackson. A funeral Mass was celebrated at the Church of St. Anselm, Wayside, followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale. The Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.
