Town will recognize residents

MARLBORO - Mayor Robert Klein-berg and the Township Council are asking residents to contact town hall and to inform officials of their accomplishments so they can be recognized with official documents.

"Marlboro is a community filled with exceptional people who do exceptional things," Kleinberg said. "We are inviting residents to inform us of their accomplishments so we can honor them."

Academic and athletic achievements, civic contributions, scouts and award winners are examples of accomplishments that the mayor and council are interested in hearing about, according to a press release from the mayor's office.

Residents are asked to write to Kleinberg at the Office of the Mayor, Township of Marlboro, 1979 Township Drive, Marlboro 07746 and tell him about the achievement. Kleinberg will recognize those achievements by either letter or mayoral proclamation.

"We want to hear about what the people of our community are doing and I want to make sure that their accomplishments don't go unnoticed," Kleinberg said.

Kleinberg also wants to recognize significant anniversaries and birthdays with mayoral proclamations.

Residents who are reaching their 85th, 90th, 95th and 100th birthdays and couples celebrating their 50th anniversaries or above are eligible to receive a mayor proclamation, according to the press release.
