Donation will fund counseling sessions

The Freehold Community Counseling Center received a $5,000 contribution from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous and asked that the funds be used for services related to children and adolescents.

The donation will be dedicated funds set up for counseling children and adolescents in areas such as social skills, parent-child problems and anger management. The program will consist of individual and small group activities.

Program director Dennis Makarowski said, "This donation was completely unexpected and overwhelming in its generosity. It permits us to provide services we have long wished to provide and hopefully will be the beginning of a focused service for children and their families."
