Auditions

Over The Rainbow Productions is holding auditions for "Mass Appeal" by appointment only at the Eatontown Playhouse, Route 35 north, Eatontown. Needed are two males, one age 20-35 and one age 50 or older. The show goes up in March. Details: Joe Schreck, (973) 472-9445; e-mail, jschr36@aol.com.

Paper Mill Playhouse's summer musical theater programs are offering audition opportunities for young performers age 10 and up for entry into the July Conservatory and the August Intensive. The Children's Entertainment Series will hold auditions for its upcoming musical "Really Rosie," Feb. 24 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. at the Eatontown Playhouse, Tower Market shopping center, Route 35 north, Eatontown. Monmouth Players will hold auditions for its Spring production of Ray Cooney and John Chapman's "Move Over, Mrs. Markham," Feb. 5-6 at 8 p.m. at the Navesink Library Theater, Sears and Monmouth avenues, Middletown. Holmdel Theatre Company will hold auditions for "Brundibar the Evil Organ Grinder," a children's opera, Feb. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Feb. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at the Duncan Smith Theater, 36 Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel. Needed are several children and teenagers, ages 8-16; there are also some nonsinging parts. Details: (732) 946-0427.

First Avenue Playhouse will hold auditions for "Miss Witherspoon," Feb. 5-6 at 7:30 p.m. at the playhouse, 123 First Ave., Atlantic Highlands. Needed are one male age 30-40; and two females, one age 30-40, and one age 40-50 (African-American preferred, but open to all). Each is needed to play several roles.
