Cooke, Leonardis sworn in

ENGLISHTOWN - The Borough Council held its annual reorganization meeting on Jan. 4 in Borough Hall, at which time Lori Cooke and Janet Leonar-dis were sworn in to begin serving three-year terms on the governing body.

Councilman Harry Soden was elected to serve as council president for the year.

Other nominations and elections by the council included the following:

+ Council Liaison to the Unified Planning/Zoning Board - Soden.

+ Police Commissioner - Council-woman Jayne Carr.

+ Police Commission - Carr, Council-woman Cindy Robilotti and Mayor Tom Reynolds.

Stuart Moskovitz was named borough attorney.

Mayor's appointments included:

+ Administration, Finance and Personnel Committee - chair, Robilotti; co-chair, Leonardis.

+ Public Safety/Code Department Committee - chair, Carr; co-chair, Robilotti.

+ Public Buildings and Grounds Committee - chair, Leonardis; co-chair, Carr.

+ Public Utilities Committee - chair, Soden; co-chair, Councilman Steven Simon.

+ Legislative, Insurance and Licenses Committee - chair, Simon; co-chair, Cooke.

+ Public Health, Welfare and Public Event Committee - chair, Cooke; co-chair, Soden.
