Four face charges in Colts Neck

COLTS NECK - Police reported that between Oct. 3 and Oct. 7, the following individuals were arrested as a result of the investigation of three arson incidents and an aggravated assault incident. The crimes occurred between August and October on Asbury Avenue, Colts Neck.

Police said Christopher McKenna, 19, of Asbury Park, was charged with aggravated arson, conspiracy to commit arson, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of stolen property, two counts, (a motor vehicle), terroristic threats, aggravated assault, trespassing and possession of handcuffs.

Joseph Blanco, 18, of Aberdeen, was charged with aggravated arson (two counts), possession of stolen property (a motor vehicle), creating a risk of widespread injury and trespassing (two counts).

A juvenile, 14, of Cliffwood, was charged with aggravated arson (three counts), possession of stolen property (two counts) and trespassing (two counts).

A juvenile, 17, of Aberdeen, was charged with aggravated arson (two counts), conspiracy to commit arson, possession of stolen property (a motor vehicle) and trespassing.

The suspects were committed to the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, and the Monmouth County Youth Detention Center, Freehold Township.

These cases were investigated by Detective Sgt. Joseph Whitehead, Detec-tive Richard Zarrillo and Patrolman Kristian DeVito.
