Suspect sought in bank robbery

MARLBORO - A mid-morning robbery at the Commerce Bank, Route 520, is under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

On Nov. 21 at 10:21 a.m. a demand of money was made by individual believed to be a black male, between 25 to 35 years old, about 6 feet tall, weight about 200 pounds, with a stocky build, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Luis A. Valentin.

The individual was said to be wearing a powder blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans, brown boots and a black baseball hat, Valentin said.

The Commerce Bank is just east of Route 9, on Route 520.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact Detective Thomas Nuccio at 1-800-533-7443.
