Parent named foundation trustee

MARLBORO - The Marlboro Educational Foundation, a group of Marlboro residents and business people dedicated to raising funds for innovative and creative programs not covered in the general school budget, has announced that Lisa Naboulsi is a new trustee.

According to a press release, Naboulsi was PTO president of the Marlboro Early Learning Center for the 2005-06 school year. She was actively involved in all the fundraisers and cultural events that were provided for the pupils throughout the year.

She is mother to three children in the Marlboro school district. She has a bachelor's degree from Marist College in fashion design and used that degree for a career in the garment industry for 12 years.

The board also elected officers for the coming year. Teja Anderson will remain as chair, while Barbara Spilken and Lynn Franco were re-elected as vice chair and secretary, respectively. Cris Gansman was elected as the new treasurer, replacing Eva Costello.

According to the press release, the Foundation is actively looking for new members. Parents and retired "senior" member of the community are invited to get involved with helping the education of the town's children. Anyone seeking information about the foundation and its upcoming events can call (732) 817-1482 or visit the foundation's Internet Web site at www.marlboroeducationalfoundation.org.
