Women's club receives proclamation

A proclamation for National Domestic Violence Awareness Month was presented to the GFWC Molly Pitcher Woman's Club by the mayor of Freehold Township, Anthony J. Ammiano. Connie Mills, club chairman for the Special State Project, "Domestic Violence of the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs GFWC," attended the Township Committee meeting to receive the proclamation. Through the special project, women's shelters throughout the state of New Jersey will receive help through donations and volunteer hours. Over 300 Federated clubs in New Jersey will support the project.

The GFWC Molly Pitcher Woman's Club will meet Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. at Old Country Buffet, Route 9 north, Freehold Township. Pat Watson, director of Consumer Affairs, will be the guest speaker. Following the meeting, guests are invited for lunch at a minimal fee. For luncheon reservations call (732) 462-7233.
