Girl Scouts plan fundraiser Monmouth Council of Girl Scouts and Jersey Central Power & Light will present Taste of the Holidays on Nov. 6 at Jumping Brook Country Club, Neptune, from 6-9 p.m. Taste of the Holidays, an annual fundraiser to benefit Monmouth Council of Girl Scouts, will feature delicacies from the area's finest restaurants. Tickets are $60 each. During Taste of the Holidays, participants will enjoy a chance to win prizes, piano playing by Girl Scout Amanda Pell and a friendly competition among area chefs. In addition, the 2007 Women of Distinction honorees will be introduced for the first time. The 2007 Women of Distinction are: + Suzanne Citron, founder, The Charles Lafitte Foundation. + Doris Crocker, executive director, New Jerseu Haiti Partners of the Amer-icas. + Diane Gooch, co-owner and publisher, The Two River Times. + Marie Muhler, Monmouth County surrogate. + Denise Stavola, civic volunteer. + Luann Stavola, civic volunteer. These individuals, whose professional, business and community leadership contribute greatly to the quality of life in Monmouth and northern Ocean counties, will be honored at the Women of Distinc-tion Dinner on March 15, 2007 at Jumping Brook Country Club, according to a press release from the Girl Scouts. According to Sue McClure, CEO of Monmouth Council of Girl Scouts, "Each of the Women of Distinction serves as an exceptional role model for today's Girl Scouts. Taste of the Holidays is a fun opportunity to kick off the holiday season on Nov. 6th and meet the 2007 Women of Distinction."
