Rabbi discusses torah at Freehold restaurant

On any given Saturday morning, Rabbi Brooks Susman of Congregation Kol Am can be found at the Cornerstone Caffe in Freehold Borough fervently discussing stories of sex, deceit and violence with a group of individuals, and you would assume they were discussing the last episode of "Desperate Housewives." However, you would be wrong. The group meets from 9:30-10:30 a.m. to engage in Torah study in a way that makes Moses, the matriarchs and patriarchs, and the children of Israel come alive. No knowledge of Hebrew is necessary to participate in this dialogue. Details: www.congregationkolam.org or (732) 792-8000.
