Placement of campaign signs called into question

I like Nikki Pezzullo's campaign signs. Very clever. Catchy. And not noticing any signs from her opponent, I wonder if she's running unopposed. So I did some fact checking.

Nikki's opponent didn't display his signs yet because it would be illegal. And Nikki's signs are illegal. They violate the law. A Manalapan ordinance prohibits posting campaign signs on public property until 45 days before an election. Campaign signs on public property before Sept 23, 2006, are illegal.

So maybe it is, as Nikki says, about our children. But what is she teaching our children? It's certainly not about "Good Government." Or, to paraphrase Nikki's signs of August, "Hold on to your wallets, Manalapan, Nikki's coming."
