     Chalk up another black mark against New Jersey's annual school budget voting fiasco. In April, voters defeated the Freehold Borough Board of Education's proposed tax levy for the 2006-07 year.

     The Monmouth County Hazmat unit did not respond to a bomb scare at the Super Foodtown store in the Raintree shopping center, Route 537, Freehold Township, on July 10. A July 12 News Transcript article incorrectly stated that the county Hazmat unit was on the scene.
