Jennifer A. Forester

Ms. Forester, 34, of Freehold, died Feb. 22 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Tampa, Fla., she grew up in Georgia and Louisiana before moving to Hightstown and then to Freehold. A 1990 graduate of Hightstown High School, she was an account manager for Visual Graphic Systems, New York. Ms. Forester is survived by her parents, Elenora and Robert Forester of Knoxville, Tenn.; her domestic partner, Carrie Aspan; a brother, Robert Forester of Colorado; three sisters, Tisha Lolley of Joplin, Mo., Shannon Cox of Knoxville, and Michele Forester of Omaha, Neb.; and her friend David Francis of Roosevelt. Funeral services were held at the Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold. Interment was private. Memorial donations may be made to RAINN (Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network), 635-B Pennsylvania Ave. SE, Washington, DC 20003.

William Weaver

Mr. Weaver, 68, of Freehold, died Feb. 22 at Atlantic Highlands Nursing Home, Atlantic Highlands. He was born in Alabama and had lived in Freehold for many years. Mr. Weaver was a mason contractor before his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are a daughter, Karen Hendrix; a grandson, Garett Hendrix; and many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.

Robert D. Cahill

Mr. Cahill, 49, of Freehold Township, died Feb. 26 at home. Born in Neptune Township, he was a lifelong resident of the Freehold area. He was a carpenter for the Monmouth County Park System and had previously been a member of Carpenter Union Local No. 2250, Red Bank. He was also a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Surviving are his wife, Catherine Wilder Cahill; a son, Kyle C. Cahill, at home; his parents, William "Pete" and Margaret Dean Cahill of Florida; a brother, Dennis Cahill of Nevada; and three sisters, Carol Cahill and Joan Courson, both of Florida, and Nancy Frazier of Virginia. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.

Louis Gulfo

Mr. Gulfo, 84, of Red Bank, died Feb. 27 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He had been a resident of Red Bank for the past 51 years. Mr. Gulfo was an insurance executive at American Risk Management, Fort Lee, for several years, retiring in 1987. He was also the owner and captain of two boats based in Brielle. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War, and was an officer in the Navy ROTC. He was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Mr. Gulfo is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Holmes Gulfo; a son, Richard L. Gulfo of Freehold; a daughter, Lynn E. Sullivan of Fairport, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Church, followed by entombment at Mount Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum, Middletown. The Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, was in charge of arrangements.

Agnes Trinkl Mascarin

Mrs. Mascarin, 82, of Whiting, died March 2 at her sister's home in Manalapan. Born in New York City, she had lived in Onancock, Va., and Chicago before moving to Whiting nine years ago. Before her retirement, Mrs. Mascarin worked in the clerical department of Kemper Insurance Co., Chicago, for 20 years. She was predeceased by her husband, John Mascarin, in 1991. Surviving are two sisters, Helen Kress of Freehold and Frances Flanagan of Manalapan; two nephews and two nieces. Services were private. Memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, 1 Meridian Road, Eatontown 07724. The Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

Robert H. Holmes

Mr. Holmes, 45, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died March 1 at home. Born in South Amboy, he was a lifelong resident of Sayreville. Mr. Holmes was a boilermaker at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, and at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, for the past 25 years. He was a member of Boilermakers Local Union No. 68 and Old Bridge Moose Lodge No. 485. He was a coach for Sayreville Little League and also coached hockey. Mr. Holmes was predeceased by his father, Robert W. Holmes. He is survived by three sons, James, Robert and Raymond, all at home; his mother, Lorraine Glover Holmes; three sisters, Sharon O'Hare of Marlboro, MaryBeth Woolf of Cliffwood Beach, and Barbara Waldron of Lakewood; a brother, Thomas Holmes of Holmdel; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, South Amboy, followed by burial at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia section of Woodbridge. The Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin, was in charge of arrangements.

Muriel Titley Gross

Mrs. Gross, 77, of East Brunswick, died Feb. 25 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, George Gross Jr., died in 1993. Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Williams of East Brunswick; a son, George Gross of South River; two sisters, Lillian Robilard and Velda Hodgson, both of Canada; two brothers, Lorne Titley of Freehold and Percy Titley of Canada; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

Robert E. McGrath

Mr. McGrath, 87, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 16 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he worked as a welder for 35 years with National Lead Industries, Sayreville. For the past 20 years he worked as a driver, door attendant and handyman for Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River, and Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. A son, Brian, died in 1979. Surviving are his wife, Rose Birardi McGrath; six children, Gary of Parlin, Mary Jo Erdek of South Carolina, Sharon Tricarico of Edison, Wayne of Old Bridge, Denise Scala of the Fords section of Woodbridge and Mark of Manalapan; two sisters, Augusta Vreeland of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge and Catherine McGrath of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette's Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

Edward J. Tietchen

Mr. Tietchen, 72, of South Amboy, formerly of Edison, died Feb. 21 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to his retirement in 1998, he was employed as a driver with Co-Steel Raritan, Perth Amboy, where he worked for 11 years. Before that, he owned Kimco, Edison. Surviving are his wife, Regina "Genie" Warn Tietchen; a son, Edward A. Tietchen of the Parlin section of Sayreville; two daughters, Sharon Ludwig of Belleville, Ill., and Kimberly Hamill of Parlin; five sisters, Marion Rykowski, Madeline Taylor and Margaret Ruggiero, all of Edison, Elizabeth Davis of the Avenel section of Woodbridge and Eleanor Jaros of Colts Neck; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Mass was offered at St. Mary's Church, South Amboy. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

Jean P. Wielonski Zelenak

Mrs. Zelenak, 74, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, formerly of Woodbridge, died Feb. 25 at home. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; a son, Keith; and a grandson, Steven Sulikowski. Surviving are two sons, Michael J. of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick and Scott of Parlin; a daughter, Diane Sulikowski of Jackson; a sister, Valerie Moeller of LaMirada, Calif.; and four grandchildren. A service was held at the Hungarian Reformed Church, Woodbridge. Interment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
