      Danielle M. Kupper

      Miss Kupper, 29, of Union Beach, died April 7 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in New Brunswick, she resided in Metuchen prior to moving to Union Beach 25 years ago. She attended Harbor School, Eatontown. She is survived by her parents, Virginia and Joseph Kupper of Union Beach; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dawn and Russ Benson of Hazlet, and Stacy and Richard Post of Howell; two brothers, Marine Cpl. Joseph Kupper, and James Kupper, both of Union Beach; her grandmother, Helen C. Kapler of Edison; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be April 12 at 10 a.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

      Andrew Peter Mount

      Mr. Mount, 36, formerly of Manalapan, died suddenly April 4. Born in Neptune, he had lived in Manalapan before moving to Orlando, Fla., and then to Dallas, Texas. He was a lighting designer for J&S Audio Visual in Dallas. Mr. Mount is survived by his parents, Rodney and Patricia Mount of Cope, S.C., formerly of Manalapan; two brothers, Charles Mount of Los Angeles and John Mount of Monterey, Calif.; three sisters, Sarah Alexander of Forked River, Meg Schiro of Jackson, and Jennifer Mount of Oxford; two brothers-in-law, Bruce Alexander and David Schiro; one sister-in-law, Arden Lewis-Mount; two nephews; and two nieces. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Moore Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, on Saturday, April 22, at 11 a.m.; a gathering at the Knights of Columbus hall in Englishtown will follow the Mass.       Rosemary Ann Miller Lyle

      Mrs. Lyle, 82, of Jackson, died March 13 at Bartley Health Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Jackson. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she moved to Howell in 1957 and lived there until 2005, when she entered Bartley Health Care. She was a communicant of St. Veronica's Roman Catholic Church, Howell, where she belonged to the Rosary Altar Society. She was also a volunteer for The Arc of Monmouth, Tinton Falls, and a member of the N.J. Guys & Dolls Bowling League. An avid reader, she especially enjoyed works by Nora Roberts and Danielle Steele. Mrs. Lyle was predeceased by her husband, John P. Lyle, and two sons, Robert and Brian Lyle. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Michael Caprio of Howell; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Gerard and Diane Lyle of Howell, James and Lynn Lyle of the New Egypt section of Plumsted, and Beth Lyle Vanderbeck of Point Pleasant; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Veronica's Church. Interment was private. Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.       Linda Flynn

      Mrs. Flynn, 55, of Old Bridge, died March 19 at home. She was employed for four years as a nurse's aide at John L. Montgomery Care Center, Freehold. Surviving are her husband, Marvin; two sons, Kenneth of Old Bridge and Kevin of Hamilton; a brother, Eugene Brown Jr. of North Carolina; two sisters, Geraldine Brown and Sandra Hall, also of North Carolina; and four grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Cremation was private.

      Mary E. Collins

      Mrs. Collins, 99, of Marlboro, died March 17 at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living, Middletown. Born in Holmdel, she had lived there before moving to Marlboro in 1945. A graduate of the Newark State Normal School, Mrs. Collins was a grammar school teacher in Keyport for 16 years and later in the Holmdel school system from 1958 to 1972. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro, and a former member of its Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the New Jersey Education Association, the National Education Association, the New Jersey Retired Education Association, and a member of AARP. Mrs. Collins was predeceased by her husband, Martin, in 1958. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Patricia Collins, of Natick, Mass.; a daughter, Karen Collins of Red Bank; and one granddaughter. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel's Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. The Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.       Margaret M. Doud

      Ms. Doud, 96, of Allendale, Bergen County, and formerly of Freehold, died March 17 at Allendale Community for Mature Living. Born in Jersey City, she had lived there until moving to Freehold in 1973 and then to Allendale in 2001. Ms. Doud was a teacher, and in 1973 she retired as an assistant principal for the Jersey City School System, where she was employed for more than 50 years. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township, where she was a eucharistic minister. She was a graduate of New Jersey State Teachers College and earned a master's degree from Fordham University, New York. She matriculated for her doctorate to ABD status. Ms. Doud is survived by two cousins, Clare Emmet of Closter and Janet Kilcar of Westwood; and one niece. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. The Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.

      James N. Harvey

      Mr. Harvey, 74, of Freehold, died March 18 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Elizabeth, he had lived in Linden and East Brunswick before moving to Freehold in 1970. Before his retirement 10 years ago, Mr. Harvey was a chemical operator. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Mr. Harvey is survived by two sons, James N. Harvey of Baltimore and Jeffrey Harvey of Freehold; and a sister, Kathleen Schulhafer of Linden. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by entombment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. The Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.

      Anne Feurman

      Mrs. Feurman, 75, of Freehold, died March 20 at home. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she had lived in Old Bridge for 19 years before moving to Freehold in 1985. Mrs. Feurman was a licensed real estate agent for 23 years, working for Paramount Properties in Marlboro before her retirement in 2001. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Meghan Rose Bradley, in 2004. Mrs. Feurman is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles Feurman; two daughters and sons-in-law, Fran and Tom Szczesny of Marlboro, and Ileen and Bob Bradley of Branchburg; and one grandson. Services were held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan. Memorial donations may be made to the Meghan Rose Bradley Foundation, 6 Preston Drive, Branchburg 08876.

      LeRoy J. Yaeger

      Mr. Yaeger, 74, of Farmingdale, died March 21 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in New York City, he had lived in Freehold before moving to Farmingdale in 1958. Mr. Yaeger was a custodian for the Howell Township Board of Education for more than 25 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Farmingdale Fire Department and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and attended the First United Methodist Church of Farmingdale. Mr. Yaeger was predeceased by his wife, Annie D. Yaeger, in 1990; and a son, Roy Yaeger, in 1974. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Beth Yaeger of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Rich Bytwerk, and Barbara and Kevin Kirchner, all of West Palm Beach; a brother, Charles Yaeger of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister, Helen Padavan of Queens, N.Y.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his niece and caregiver, Alice Voight of Farmingdale. Funeral services were held at First United Methodist Church, followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.       Anne M. Filipowicz

      Mrs. Filipowicz, 82, of Freehold Township, died March 22 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she resided there until moving to Freehold Township in 1998. Before her retirement, Mrs. Filipowicz was employed at Willowbrook State School, Staten Island. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Travis section of Staten Island, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society. Surviving are a son, Frank Filipowicz Jr. of Staten Island; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tecla and Bernard Samtoy of San Diego, Calif., Janet and Ron Betta of Florida, and Maryann and John Marini of Manalapan; and six grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Millstone. The Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

      Virginia "Jean" Mathison

      Mrs. Mathison, 85, of Jackson, died March 22 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and resided there until her recent move to Jackson. Before her retirement in 1985, Mrs.. Mathison was a school bus aide for special education students for the former Staten Island Bus Co. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Mathison, in 2002. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Bob Glawon of Freehold, and Jeannie and Mark Lemperle of Long Pond, Pa.; and three grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township, followed by interment at Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island.       Pietro "Pete" Villante

      Mr. Villante, 34, of Manalapan, died March 22 at Capital Health System at Fuld Hospital, Trenton, Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had been a longtime resident of Manalapan. Mr. Villante was a construction worker for J. Lazewski Excavating Co., Englishtown, for the past year. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan. He was a 1990 graduate of Manalapan High School. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Mede; three daughters, Giavonna, Kristina and Vincenza, all at home; his parents, Vincenzo and Rosemarie Villante of Margate, Fla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Salvatore and Linda Villante of East Windsor, and Thomas and Diane Villante of Freehold; a sister and brother-in-law, Rosalia and Jake Huff of Coconut Creek, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Thomas More Church, followed by entombment at St. Gabriel's Mausoleum, Marlboro.       Matthew Burns

      Mr. Burns, 47, of Marlboro, died March 23 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Hialeah, Fla., he had been a resident of Marlboro for the past 20 years. Mr. Burns worked on the family farm. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles J. and Evelyn C. Burns, and a brother, Michael J. Burns. He is survived by a brother and two sisters-in-law, Robert and Regina Burns of Davenport, Fla., and Bertie Ann Burns of Jackson, Fla.; a sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Robert William of Lake Wales, Fla.; two aunts and an uncle, John M. and Joan L. Godek of Marlboro, and Anna Strock of Harvey Lake, Pa.; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Waitt-Nelms Funeral Home, Morganville, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.

      John J. Conti Jr.

      Mr. Conti, 36, of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, died March 23 at home. Born in Red Bank, he resided in Hazlet before moving to West Keansburg seven year ago. Mr. Conti was a chef at Shore Caf, Hazlet, and worked part time as a loader at UPS. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4303 Men's Auxiliary, Hazlet. Mr. Conti is survived by his parents, John J. and Ann Mansuetto Conti Sr. of Hazlet; two sons, John J. Conti III and Justin C. Conti, of Howell; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Mark Conti of Keyport, and Michael and Anna Conti of Holmdel; a nephew; and a niece. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach, followed by burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.

      Florence Mazzeo

      Mrs. Mazzeo, 78, of Freehold Township, died March 23. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. Mrs. Mazzeo is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph Mazzeo; children Louis, Patricia and Maria, with whom she lived, and Patricia O'Neill (Simione) of Marlboro; six grandchildren; and one niece. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro, followed by interment at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. The Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

      Barbara Alice McNamara Griffith

      Mrs. Griffith, 69, of Freehold, died March 25 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in New York City. Before her retirement in 2004, Mrs. Griffith spent 22 years as a media assistant at the West Freehold School, Freehold Township. An active member of the Freehold community since 1973, Mrs. Griffith performed more than 2,000 hours of volunteer service at CentraState Medical Center. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, where she was a eucharistic minister. She was predeceased by a sister and two infant daughters. Mrs. Griffith is survived by her husband of 49 years, Stephen Griffith; four daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and David Kropa of Freehold, Beth and Doug Ramsey of Charlotte Hall, Md., Joan and Eric Tell of Denville, and Susan and Tim O'Donnell of Freehold; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Memorial donations may be made to the James J. Coman Foundation, P.O.       Iris Berman

      Mrs. Berman, of Hollywood, Fla., died March 27 at home. Born in Brooklyn, she had lived in East Windsor for 20 years before moving to Florida 15 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Shelley, in 1988. Mrs. Berman is survived by her mother, Frances Farberman of Hollywood, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Cary and Susan Berman of Manalapan; a daughter, Lainie Berman of Manalapan; and two grandchildren.
