BCC’s Krzan, O’Mara named All-Americans

For the first time ever, Brookdale Community College (BCC) has placed two players on the NJCAA Division III Women’s’ Soccer First Team All-American Team.

Freshman Kendal Krzan and sophomore Kerry O’Mara were the duo who made BCC history.

Krzan, a Middletown South High School graduate, followed in the footsteps of her sister Lauren Krzan, who was a two-time All-American for BCC in 2001 and again in 2002. Krzan, a forward, led the Jersey Blues in scoring this year.

O’Mara moved up one rung on the All-American Team having earned Second Team honors in 2003. O’Mara, a graduate of Middletown North, is a midfielder

Krzan and O’Mara were finished one-two in the voting for the Region XIX Player of the Year, with Krzan getting the nod. They were the only players from Region XIX to be named to the All-American First Team.

Brookdale was a trichampion of the Garden State Athletic Conference.
