Teens’ conditions show improvement

MANALAPAN — Two teenagers who were injured in a Nov. 27 motor vehicle accident were listed in good condition last week, while a third teenager who was riding in the same car was discharged from the hospital.

In a Dec. 2 update on the accident, Capt. Louis Moreto said the 16-year-old passenger had been discharged from Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, while Lily Lupo, the 17-year-old driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash, and a 14-year-old passenger who was also in her vehicle were listed in good condition.

Police are still investigating the accident, which occurred just before 9 a.m. Lupo was traveling north on Sweetmans Lane and Ediltrude Ramos, 29, of Newark was traveling west on Route 33 in a box truck. Their vehicles collided where Millhurst Road meets Route 33 on the north side of the intersection.

Ramos was transported to CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, with a leg injury. He was treated and released, according to police.

The three teenagers were all transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center.
