New Year’s Eve event slated at Kateri Center

Kateri Environmental Center, Marlboro, will host a special New Year’s Eve event Dec. 31 from 7-8:30 p.m.

Residents are invited to ring in the new year with a streamside ritual based on a tradition from Asia. Participants will float their troubles and cares down the Tan Vat Brook in preparation for the coming year.

The fee is $5 for Kateri members and $7 for all others, and participants should dress for the outdoors. Preregistration is required by Dec. 30. To register or for further information, call (732) 946-9694.
