Intern appreciates chance to work with mayor

I have had the distinct pleasure to intern with Mayor (Robert) Kleinberg and the Marlboro Township staff, and I have nothing but the greatest respect and reverence for all I have crossed paths with.

As a freshman in college and with an interest in government, Robert took me under his wing and treated me with the respect that he has shown over and over again.

From stapling campaign signs with my girlfriend and Stacy (Mrs. Robert Kleinberg) in Robert’s garage, to sitting in on closed-door meetings, I have seen Robert evolve from a concerned citizen with a leaking house to a mayor who has delivered on his promise for a better and cleaner government.

He has taught me so much, and I really don’t know how to express it, but all citizens of this township, no matter what political party they support, should understand that they have a man in office who is there for the people and not for his own gain, as his office has been used for in the past.

And, as I leave for school at the end of the month, I have left knowing this town is in safe hands. I would also like to thank all the wonderful people I have met and worked with for the way they accepted me and welcomed me. Most importantly, I am thanking Robert for everything. You have helped me on my way, and I have a respect for you that will never cease.
