Obituaries William J. Baillie Jr. Mr. Baillie, 74, of Freehold, died May 4 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, after a long battle with heart disease. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he was a lifelong resident of Freehold. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he had worked in various sales positions. His fondest employment was with Ralph Clayton and Sons, a concrete company in Lakewood. Mr. Baillie was a former member of the Freehold Borough Council and the Freehold Planning Board; past president of the Freehold Fire Department; a member for 36 years of the Monmouth Hose Company, for which he was also a former captain and past president; and a member of the Marine Corps League’s Cpl. Philip A. Reynolds Detachment No. 203, Freehold. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary C. and Walter J. Baillie; his first wife, Gail E. Burke; and a son, Walter Scott Baillie. Surviving are his wife, Judith A. Baillie; three daughters and a son-in-law, Kathleen and Michael Rossi of Millstone, Dawn Garrett of Wall and Cheri Plamondon of Farmingdale; a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Robert Rathschmidt of Cream Ridge; four grandchildren; and a niece and nephew, as well as their spouses. A funeral service was held at Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association — New Jersey Affiliate, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick 08902. Jean Bodino Mrs. Bodino, 80, of Toms River died June 11 at home. Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Howell for 17 years before moving to Toms River seven years ago. Prior to retiring, she was a payroll clerk for Agway, Freehold Township. She was also a member of the Pleasant Plains Firemen’s Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, Augustus; three sons and daughters-in-law, Edmund and Kim Hafner of Plainsboro, James and Cindy Bodino of Howell, and Norman Bodino of Oakland Park, Fla.; two daughters, Margaret Powell of Howell and Lauren Saxton of Wyckoff; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, followed by interment at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements. David Grober Mr. Grober, 87, of Manalapan, died June 14 at home. Before he moved to Manalapan 20 years ago, he was a former resident of Hillside and Edison. Prior to retiring in 1981, he was the proprietor of Dave’s Food Market in Newark. Surviving are his wife, Frances; two daughters and sons-in-law, Myrna and John Blume of Harding Township, and Ellen and Alan Weiner of Yonkers, N.Y.; and one granddaughter. A funeral service was held at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, followed by interment at B’nai Abraham Memorial Park, Union.Gertrude "Trudy" Sheehan-Cahoon Mrs. Sheehan-Cahoon, 81, of Neptune Township died June 11 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township. Born in Springfield, she had lived in Freehold before moving in 1969 to Neptune Township, where she was a former owner of the Coach House restaurant. Mrs. Sheehan-Cahoon was predeceased by her first husband, John Joseph Sheehan, in 1967 and by three brothers, Norman, Neil and Vincent Curcio, and a sister, Geraldine Boots. Surviving are her husband, Harold Cahoon; two sons, John Sheehan of Charlotte, N.C., and Kevin Sheehan of Neptune Township; two daughters, Mary Jo Kley of Brick and Kim Hyde of Wall Township; two brothers, Samuel Curcio of Florida and John Curcio of Freehold; two sisters, Marie Moen of Manasquan and Bobby O’Connor of Neptune Township; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Marguerite E. Chrostowski Mrs. Chrostowski, 70, of Freehold died June 12 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had resided there before moving to Freehold seven years ago. She was a food service manager for the New York City Public Schools, retiring in 1996. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold; a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Columbiettes of Knights of Columbus Council No. 293; and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5806 Auxiliary, all of Brooklyn, N.Y. Mrs. Chrostowski was predeceased in 1994 by her husband, Michael A. Chrostowski. Surviving are a son, Michael F. Chrostowski of Monroe, N.Y.; a daughter, Ann Marie Samojedny of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren; a niece, Kathleen Damore of Freehold; two nephews, Kevin Madigan of Shrewsbury and John Madigan of Brooklyn; two great-nieces; and three great-nephews. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, N.Y. Mario Hernandez Mr. Hernandez, 76, of Freehold died June 16 at Jefferson Memorial University Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in Cuba, he had lived in Queens, N.Y., before moving to Freehold five years ago. Mr. Hernandez was a superintendent for Sanford Realty in Queens for more than 30 years until his retirement in 1999. He is survived by his wife, Ofelia Garcia Hernandez; two daughters and a son-in-law, Maria and Frank Oliverio of Freehold Township, and Gisela Vaccaro of Freehold Township; a brother, Joseph Hernandez of Cuba; two sisters, Caridad Santos and Esther Brito, of California; and five grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
