‘Pet Walk’ June 19 at Battlefield Park

Manalapan Parks and Recreation will sponsor a "Pet Walk" June 19, 9:30 a.m., at Monmouth Battlefield State Park, Manalapan. Dr. Kelly O’Connor, V.C.A., of Freehold Veterinary Clinic, will describe which plants are poisonous to pets, how to recognize heat exhaustion in pets, how to take a dog’s temperature, and how to keep pets safe and healthy.

Pets must be leashed, and owners should bring plastic bags to pick up after their dogs. There is no charge. To preregister or for further information, call parks and recreation, (732) 446-8355.
