Auditions

Centerfield Music is seeking 12-16 mixed voices for a June audio recording session. The music that is being produced may potentially be aired in conjunction with a British television special. Those wishing to be considered should promptly e-mail a biography-resumé to management@centerfieldmusic.com and follow immediately by mailing a demo tape or demo CD featuring the auditioner singing one refrain of "On Eagles’ Wings," two verses of any church hymn, and a verse and refrain from a song that demonstrates the auditioner’s versatility of vocal range. Those who audition will be notified in the first week in June.

Howell Recreation Department will hold auditions for "Howell Township Idol," through May 28, 4-6 p.m. at the Howell Recreation building. Applicant must show proof that he or she is a Howell resident and is presently attending a high school. Auditions are limited to a three-minute a cappella performance, and a non-returnable photo of the applicant is required. The auditions are limited to the first 100 applicants. Judges will choose 10 finalists (from the 100 applicants) who will perform July 2 at the Howell fireworks show. Two contestants will then be chosen to perform on Howell Day, Sept. 4, where residents will cast their vote from 2-4 p.m. The winner will perform for the Howell Day finale.
