Freehold Township’s Ryan Boysen, a junior at St. Peter’s Prep, Jersey City, was named First Team All-Hudson County and All-Area for leading the Marauders to an undefeated regular season of the football field and the HCIAA championships for the fourth-straight year. Boysen, a quarterback, completed 73 of his 91 passes for 913 yards and 18 touchdowns. The Marauders finished the season 10-1 and ranked No. 4 in the state. They advanced to the Parochial 4 semifinals losing to the state’s No. 1 team, Bergen Catholic.

Boysen replaced another Freehold Township resident, Joe Dailey, all-state last year, who is now at the University of Nebraska.

Marauder head coach Rich Hansen, who is also a Freehold Township resident, was named the HCIAA Coach of the Year for the ninth time in his 16 years of coaching. He is also the director of athletics/facilities at St. Peter’s Prep,
