Video and Vets Series
to screen ‘Rommel’ film

The Center for World War II Studies and Conflict Resolution at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, will resume its Video and Vets Series with a screening of "Rommel, the Desert Fox." The event is open to the public.

Local veteran James Serano, Wanamassa, will provide commentary and answer questions. Serano was a member of the 805th tank Destroyer Battalion during the September-May 1944 Italian campaign, and participated in the battle for Anzio, January-May 1944. He was awarded a Bronze Star with V device for service in combat and was wounded three times in battle He holds three Purple Heart medals.

The film stars James Mason as Rommel. Michael Rennie narrates. The screening will take place Feb. 17 from 7-9:30 p.m. in the ATEC building in room 105 on the Brookdale campus. Light refreshments will be served. The fee is $5 and the code is XHUMN 105. To register, call the Office of Business and Community Development at (732) 224-2315.
