In a ceremony held recently at Applewood Estates in Freehold Township, the Noontime Optimist Club of Freehold honored the 75 CentraState Healthcare student volunteers and their director, Joan Nealon, with a proclamation from Freehold Township declaring Youth Appreciation Week.

The ceremony was led by Sharon Goldman, the club’s president, along with chairperson Carole Robinson and co-chair Ann Denise Rubino. Two of the students, Jason Krausman and Matthew Berkowitz, spoke about their experiences in the volunteer program.
