County jail’s health care earns reaccreditation

Sheriff Joseph W. Oxley has announced that the Monmouth County Correctional Institution has earned reaccreditation from the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. After completing a comprehensive review of policies and procedures for the correctional health care facility, the NCCHC awarded a perfect score for compliance with all applicable standards.

The Monmouth County jail first received accreditation for health care in 1989 and has maintained continuous accredited status ever since. The facility provides 24-hour medical services by a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, dentists and mental health professionals.
