Jewish Center sponsoring trips, activities

The Jewish Community Center of Western Monmouth has scheduled several trips and activities.

The center’s annual winter weekend getaway at the Nevele is slated for Feb. 13-16. The complete package is $825 per family; JCCWM family membership of $54 for residents of Monmouth County is required. Payment in full is due by Jan. 12.

The JCC’s 50-plus Couples Club, a social group, is looking for new members; call Shelley at (732) 683-9300.

The center is forming a culture and arts committee to plan entertainment events. For details, call Shelley. The 55-plus Jewish Singles group will sponsor a wine-tasting seminar Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the JCC office, in the Galleria shopping center, Route 9 north, Manalapan; the cost is $5 per person. R.S.V.P. to Shelley by Nov. 13.

The JCC’s new chapter of the Book Club Network meets at 1 p.m. at the Manalapan office. New members are welcome; call for details.

The 50-plus Active Adults will host a Hanukkah party Dec. 21 at 1 p.m. at the Marlboro Jewish Center. The fee is $5 in advance or $7 at the door.

Linda Koppelman Ross, author of "The Lifetime Guide to the Jewish Holidays," will speak on "Unusual Customs and Foods of Hanukkah" Nov. 19; the fee is $5 in advance for JCCWM/HZAK members, or $7 for nonmembers and at the door.
