Dorothy M. Lane

Mrs. Lane, 69, of Toms River, died Sept. 21 at home. Born in Farmingdale, she had lived in Howell before moving to Toms River 25 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the East Dover Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Latius Lane; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Anthony Bruning of Toms River, Mark and Janet Bruning of Waretown, and Eugene and Bonnie Lane of Brick; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Francis and Evelyn Morgan of Sarasota, Fla., Robert and Eileen Morgan of Farmingdale, and Frances Morgan of Georgia; one sister and brother-in-law, Ann and William Mathews of Spring Lake; and five grandchildren. A memorial gathering was held at the C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia, followed by interment at Farmingdale-Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.

Mary Ellen Ezzo

Mrs. Ezzo, 51, of Beachwood, died Sept. 22 at her daughter’s home in Manalapan. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she lived in Manalapan for 20 years before moving to Beachwood seven years ago. She was a homemaker. Surviving are a son, Bill Ezzo of Manalapan; three daughters and a son-in-law, Joanne and Steve Zeleznik, Cathy Ezzo and Mary Ann Ezzo, all of Manalapan; and three grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown, followed by interment, which was private. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

Theresa C. Bravo Wilcox

Mrs. Wilcox, 40, of Virginia died Aug. 17 at Mary Immaculate Hospital, Newport News, Va. Born in New Brunswick, she resided there until moving to Virginia 17 years ago. Mrs. Wilcox is survived by her husband of 17 years, Brian S. Wilcox; two daughters, Felecia and Chelsea, of Virginia; her parents, Miguel T. and Theresa C. Bravo of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Madeline Cuber of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Daniel Bravo of Howell; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River.

Estelle Washko

Estelle Washko, 89, of Palm Coast, Fla., formerly of Old Bridge and Milltown, died in Sept. 9 in Palm Coast. She and her late husband, Benjamin J. Washko Sr., owned and operated Midway Garage, Old Bridge, and South Side Auto Garage, Milltown. Surviving are a son, Benjamin J. Washko Jr. of Palm Coast; a daughter, Phyllis Puskas of Cape Cod, Mass.; a sister, Martha Kuchinski of Englishtown; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside services were held at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Jamesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Florida Hospital, Memorial Hospice Care, 875 Sterthaw Ave., Ormond Beach, FL 32174-9976.

Kenneth N. Eldridge

Mr. Eldridge, 84, of Howell, died Sept. 24 at Bartley Health Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Jackson. Born in Neptune, he had also lived there before moving to Howell. A U.S. Army Veteran who served during World War II, Mr. Eldridge was the recipient of the Purple Heart award. He was a heavy equipment and crane operator for Fred McDowell for 45 years, until his retirement, after which he became a driver for Lakewood Auto Supply for eight years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Surviving are his wife, Iris Wagner Eldridge of Howell; one son, Raymond W. Eldridge of Howell; and three grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia, followed by interment in Adelphia Cemetery.

Joseph E. Patton

Mr. Patton, 72, of Old Bridge died Sept. 29 in Care One, East Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Antoinette Patton; two sons, Joseph Patton of Freehold and Michael Treeon of Ohio; two daughters, Marie Stump of West Virginia and Theresa Crenshaw of Plainsboro; four brothers, Larry of Pennsylvania, Eugene of Tresckow, Pa., and Robert and Charles, both of Warminster, Pa.; five granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick.

Audrey Victoria Perri

Mrs. Perri, 73, of Marlboro, died Sept. 26 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was born in Clifton and lived in Marlboro for the past 42 years. Mrs. Perri was a human service technician for Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital, Marlboro, for 10 years before her retirement in 1992. She was a member of the Hightstown Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Perri is survived by her husband, John Perri Sr.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John Perri Jr. of Marlboro, and Michael Patrick and Susan Perri of Free­hold; two sisters, Joan Kovalski and Virginia Kijak, both of Falling Waters, W.Va.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by entombment at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, Marlboro.

Vilmar E. Costa

Mr. Costa, 19, died Sept. 27 as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle acci­dent. A 2002 graduate of South River High School, he was a student at DeVry University, North Brunswick. He was em­ployed for the past three years at International House of Pancakes (IHOP), Marlboro, and prior to that, he worked at IHOP, East Brunswick. Surviving are his parents, Vilmar and Shirley Lopez Costa, with whom he lived; two sisters, Maria Costa and Brenda Costa, both of South River; a nephew, Christopher Costa of South River; his maternal grandparents, Eduardo and Nelly Magas of the Toms River section of Dover; his paternal grandmother, Maria Costa, in South America; an uncle, Eduardo Lopez of Forest Hills, Md.; and an aunt, Imara Lopez of South River. A Mass was of­fered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Cremation was private.

Claudia Gitter

Mrs. Gitter, 86, of Freehold Township died Oct. 2 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., Clifton and Florida before moving to Freehold. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clifton Jewish Center, Clifton. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis, in 1991. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Sheila Rouff of Marlboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Gideon Weingarten of Freehold; two stepsons, Jeff Gitter of Brooklyn and Morty Gitter of Centereach, N.Y.; a sister, Adreline Ascher of Brooklyn; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

Joon Taek Kwon

Mr. Kwon, 68, of Freehold Township died Oct. 1 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Korea, he resided in Ed­monton, Alberta Canada, and in Plainfield be­fore moving to Freehold Township in 1969. He worked as a research chemist for ABB Lum­mus Co., Bloomfield, for 30 years before retir­ing in 1999. He was associated with Mon­mouth Council, Boy Scouts of America, for 25 years and served as a scoutmaster. Surviving are his wife, the former Moon Ja Yoo, of Free­hold; a son, Howard Kwon of Boca Raton, Fla.; a daughter, Daphne Hildebolt of New York City; a brother, Ho Taek Kwon of Seoul, Korea; a sister, Sung Ja, of Sydney, Australia; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Fairfax (Va.) Memorial Park, Fairfax. Memorial donations may be made to Mon­mouth Council, BSA, Deal and Monmouth Road, P.O. Box 188, Oakhurst 07755.

Marion Jean Woodfield Tice

Mrs. Woodfield, 82, of Clarksville, Va., died Oct. 1 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, Va. She was a teller for Colo­nial National Bank until her retirement. She was predeceased by her first husband, Elias Pease, and her second husband, Lester Tice. She is survived by her three daughters, Sh­eryl Pelela of Clarksville, Va.; Janet Kuey of Cream Ridge; and Joan Walling of Howell; a sister, Sarah Wardell of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a brother Russell Woodfield of Floral City, Fla.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchil­dren. Services were held at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Howell. Interment was at Ev­ergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.

Stanley Bernard Farbstein

Mr. Farbstein, 79, of Marlboro died Oct. 2 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in the Canarsie section before moving to the Greenbriar community 12 years ago. A World War II Navy veteran, he was a printer in Manhattan before retiring. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and Deborah Hos­pital Association. He enjoyed playing shuffle­board in the Senior Condo Olympics. Surviv­ing are his wife, Muriel; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and John Lamb of Ab­erdeen and Marla and John Hammond of Jer­sey City; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan. Interment was at Marlboro Memorial Mausoleum, Marlboro.

Jean G. Totaro

Mrs. Totaro, 73, of Jackson, died Aug. 26 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Totaro was born in Jersey City and had lived in Freehold Township for 32 years before moving to Jackson two years ago. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, where she was a member of the church choir and a member of the St. Rose of Lima Senior Citizen Club. She also was a volunteer at the Westlake Community Center, Jackson. Mrs. Totaro was predeceased by her husband, Michael R. Totaro, in 2001. Surviving are two sons, Vincent Totaro of Colts Neck and Paul Totaro of California; a brother, Salvatore Vincitore of Freehold Township; a sister, Marie Falotico of Bayonne; a sister-in-law, Jeraldine Vincitore of Freehold Township; three grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews. A Funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by entombment at the parish mausoleum, Freehold Township. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 19 Schoolhouse Road, Somerset 08873.

Jennie Press

Ms. Press, 75, of Marlboro died Sept. 20 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had resided in Marlboro for two years. She was a sales as­sociate for Macy’s department store in Brook­lyn for 20 years, before retiring in 1996. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, in 1996. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Sandra Press of Matawan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky and Don Fletcher of Queens, N.Y., Fran and Stephen Durante of Marlboro, and Donna and Tom Lacorazza of Marlboro; a brother and sis­ter-in-law, Joseph and Pat Passalaqua of Staten Island; a sister, Rose Bresnick of San­tee, Calif.; and nine grandchildren. A memo­rial gathering was held at Freeman Manala­pan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan. Vincent G. Nappi

Mr. Nappi, 87, of Freehold Township, died Sept. 24 at Applewood Estates, Freehold Township. Born in Newark, he had lived in Freehold Township since 1983, spending the winters in Boynton Beach, Fla. For 20 years, Mr. Nappi was a postman for the Newark Post Office. He then became the supervisor of mail at the Essex County Court House until his re­tirement in 1983. During World War II, he served as a technical sergeant in the U.S. Army. He is survived by a brother, Gerard Nappi of Freehold Township; and three nieces, including Barbara Tomczak of Freehold Town­ship. A funeral Mass was held at the C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia, fol­lowed by interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair.

Salvatore Seminerio

Mr. Seminerio, 74, of Howell died Sept. 24 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to Howell 10 years ago. He was a communicant of St. Veronica’s Roman Catholic Church in Howell. He was a carpenter for Local Union 608 in Manhattan, N.Y., for 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Lucille; a son and daughter-in-law, William Joseph and Ruth Seminerio of Sumner, Wash.; a daughter and son-in-law, LuAnn and Bryan Epstein of Howell; and two granddaughters. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Veronica’s Church, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.
