New members appointed
to transportation council

At the Monmouth County Freeholders meeting of Sept. 11, the Board of Freeholders appointed several new members to the Monmouth County Transportation Council.

Nancy Ann Grbelja of Millstone Township, Gary Rygil of Colts Neck and Joseph Capolongo of Middletown were nominated by Freeholder Theodore J. Narozanick, who is the county representative and chairman of the New Jersey Transportation Planing Authority (MCTC).

The Monmouth County Transportation Council consists of 13 county residents who review transportation issues that affect Monmouth County and its citizens. Council members represent not only the five planning regions within the county (Central, Coastal, Bayshore, Western Monmouth, and Panhandle regions), but the users of autos, trains, buses, ferries, bicycles and pedestrians, commuters, seniors and the disabled community who travel within Monmouth County as well as throughout the New York-New Jersey Region.
